If you want just a little extra you can subscribe to the Pro Edition for $15.00 a year. This is a perfect tool that will allow you to flip some of your teaching and make small lectures available 24/7 from anywhere. Best of all, it can be part of My Big Campus. It really is quick and easy to learn... so let's begin.
Step 1: Installation on Your Laptop (10 minutes)

If you choose the Download and Install feel free to watch the below video below to get a better idea on how to make the installation happen for your laptop. Please be sure to either have the web version ready to go, or have it downloaded to your laptop in order to complete the next step.
Step 2: Learning how to use Screencast-o-matic - (15 minutes)
The below video will show you the basic operations included in the free edition of Screencast-o-matic. Watch and learn and the take a moment to practice. Please note that when you save the final video it can be downloaded directly to your computer. If you use a YouTube Channel it can also be sent there. Either way will provide an opportunity to be integrated into My Big Campus.

Now that you have watched the video you might wish to experiment and try some recordings. You may also wish to reflect and discuss with others how this can be used in the classroom. Some include:
1. Touring a website
2. Teaching search strategies
3. Instruction on how to use an application
4. Creating a video from Power Point or Google Slides
5. Providing step by step procedures
Of course there is more... and you are more then welcome to come up with those ideas!
Step 3 :Inserting Video into My Big Campus - (15 minutes)
There are actually two ways to place a video on a page in MBC. Please take a look at the two possibilities
1. Video is on your desktop and you wish to send it directly to your Drive in MBC. You do not wish to use a YouTube Channel and the video is under 100 mb. If you do not have a YouTube Channel and are unfamiliar with this... it is your best option.

2. If you are familiar with YouTube and have a YouTube Channel you may prefer this method. File size of video will not matter. If you download the Screencast-o-matic video to your drive... you must now upload it to your YouTube Channel. Remember that Screencast-o-matic can do this for you. The YouTube video is then placed in MBC like any other YouTube Video. See second video.
