Step 1 ... Learning About Blendspace .... (10 minutes)
Blendspace is the easiest way to blend your classroom with digital content. This tool can be used in a multitude of possibilities and best of all... a lesson can be created in five minutes. Blendspace ideas could include:
- Creating a Lesson - Once you have the resources you can create a lesson in less than five minutes and plce it on the internet or your own Learning Management System for your students.
- Flipping both in and outside of the classroom - Easily find, add and share online content (videos, images, PDFs, Google docs). Students comment or take notes alongside content
- Students Assignments - Research assignments. Web quests. Presentations. Students use Blendspace to practice and demonstrate 21st century learner skills.
- Differentiated Lessons - Personalize student learning with different online materials and built-in assessment.

Concept Four - Create a Portal for Student Work
Since Blendspace can be accessed by anyone it could be possible to put student work on display for others to see. What a wonderful way to share to parents, grandparents, and the world. These could be writings, pictures, and even multimedia. In doing this remember to abide by district AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) and obtain permission if required by district. Also remember that there should be no personal or identifying information posted. In the example below you will see a suggestion from the people at Blendspace on how to integrate Toontastic (an ipad app) and Blendspace together to make the concept a possiblity.
Biography Project..Who are you grateful for? Why?
Stories about people’s lives - sometimes called Biographies - are an age-old form of storytelling that tell others about the great things great people have done. Have your students create a cartoon biography of someone they're grateful for using Toontastic (free digital storytelling iPad app) and put them together in a Blendspace!
After viewing video begin to brainstorm ideas on how you could use a program such as Blendspace as a virtual gallery for an audience outside the classroom.
